LP releases 'Recovery' visual, announces fifth album 'Heart To Mouth'
American singer-songwriter LP has announced the release of her fifth full-length studio album, Heart To Mouth, which is due to drop on December 7.
To coincide with the exciting album news, she has also shared her new single ‘Recovery’ in addition to the track’s music video. The poignant offering features sparse production by Mike Del Rio (X Ambassadors, Kylie Minogue) and highlights the honesty we can expect from LP’s forthcoming record.
The music video for ‘Recovery’ perfectly fits the emotion and stripped back nature of the song, depicting the dissolution of a relationship whose embers won’t be extinguished so easily.
Check out the music video for ‘Recovery’ below.
‘Recovery’ is one of 12 songs on LP’s forthcoming album Heart To Mouth and follows on from its lead single ‘Girls Go Wild’. Speaking of the album, which is set to be her most personal and passionate offering to date, LP said: “When I get on the mic and start doing melodies, I can feel that direct line from my heart to my mouth. In the past, there was a city full of streets that needed my attention. Now, I feel like I have a major highway to communicate emotion from. Whether they’re sadder songs or big anthems, they all come from the same place.”
