England v Iran free live stream: TV channel, kick-off time and full talkSPORT coverage of World Cup

Publish date: 2024-06-08

England will be looking to get their World Cup 2022 campaign off to a winning start when they take on Iran in Doha this afternoon.

The showpiece tournament begins tomorrow and Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions will hope to go far in Qatar this winter.

England are in Group B with Iran, USA and Wales and should be confident of topping it but Carlos Queiroz’s ‘Team Melli’ will be no pushover in the opening clash.

The Three Lions have had a tough year so far and do not head into the World Cup in great form.

But Southgate will be hoping to rally his troops for the big tournament after enjoying successful runs at the Russia World Cup in 2018 and at Euro 2020.

The country is ready to cheer on England once again and here’s how you can follow all the action.
